Written when I was a relative newcomer to Arizona, and the novelty of the desert landscape - physical, social, and political - was still a fasctinating puzzle to be solved. Meant to close side one of Welcome to the Real World; since I was using 60-minute cassette tape it ran about 30 seconds long and so "Cactustown" got bumped to the other side.

Singin' in the Vortex

1986
In this no-budget fan vid from Barking Gecko productions, the Doctor and Peri are menaced by a cockroach. Not a giant cockroach, a normal sized one. Queen Thalidomide's Chancellor of the Eschewer vows that the Doctor will pay for what the Time Lords have done to him - and he does, using Peri's Visa card. Meanwhile, Peri talks the Master's ear off, and, oh, who cares how it ends?
