Capo I
bm       F#      bm     E
bm     E       F#       bm         {bm - F# - bm - E}

The study of weapons begins with form and essence;

Typically, essence follows form. For example,

an object - say a musical instrument - was transformed

to a weapon. Its essence would also be transformed -

But typically, the essenece

is not the part of the weapon

That we're worried about - is it?

Chorus:
     G                      D
Your enemies think they've killed you;
      A                      D
     get out of range while you're still dead.
G             bm
Sure as I'm a juggler,
     A                      bm
     I know what's revolving in your head:
 G            D
Very few are pure of heart;
     A              bm
     the rest of us have to be smart.
 em                 bm
There's no cause to be ashamed
       F#                       bm A bm E
     of acting less than a hero.

Occasionaly, form may follow essence, as in an object
With dual essences, for example, say a werewolf -
If you could distill away its human essence -
It would revert to the form of a wolf -
In other words, a weapon.

CHORUS

More rarely, form may follow essence where the essence
Has been tampered with, and the form becomes unpredictable,
Or fixed - for example -
Well, I don't need to spell this one out for you, do I?
Chorus II:
A twenty-dollar ticket
     will take you far as Cavernlands;
I'll give you twenty dollars
     to take that weapon off your hands.
Very few are strong of will;
     the rest of us learn the drill.
There's no cause to be ashamed
     of acting less than a hero.
